South East Asian Astronomy Network (SEAAN 2016) meeting

The Southeast Asia Astronomical Network (SEAAN) with its aim to strengthen the research work and education activities among its ten member countries.

The SEAAN organises its annual meeting whose purpose is to bring together people working in the fields of astronomy and astrophysics research and education from the entire SEA region and certain parts of the world to enable them to share research results and exchange their experience. The 8th SEAAN Meeting 2016 was jointly organised by the National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (NARIT) and the Vietnam National Satellite Center (VNSC), held between December 12th and December 13th in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Kevin Govender, Director of the OAD, gave a keynote presentation on “Astronomy for Development: Global Structures and Impact” at the meeting. The link to the downloadable presentation is below.
