• Dr. Solomon Belay received the Higher level award and recognition for the development of space science in Ethiopia and Astronomy research development in East Africa given by Abyssinia International Award
• EA-ROAD along with Ethiopian Space Science Society and Ethiopian Space Science & Technology Institute (ESSTI) organized and celebrated the 50^th year Anniversary of moon landing
• East African ROAD is involved in the organization of  the African Astronomical Society science meeting (AfAS) , IAU356 symposium, and African Space  Leadership Congress(ASLC) all to be held in Addis Ababa in October and December 2019
