We present a pilot astronomy project that includes the development of an Astronomy Outreach Center in Bangladesh. The project is initiated by Anushandhitshu Chokro Science Organization, a science society dedicated to science education and outreach since 1975. The Center will be the first of its kind in Bangladesh and aspires to fulfill two goals cited in the Strategic Planning of IAU: the role of astronomy in promoting global tolerance and citizenship, and being inspirational for careers in science and technology. The center will be integrated with the local schools and colleges for regular observation and small- scale research.
