“Looking …Up! Astronomy for ALL!” aims
(a) to promote inclusive education in astronomy
(b) to highlight the need of integrating innovative teaching of the Astronomy in the curriculum
(c) to give teachers all the tools necessary for integrating Astronomy on their educational practice.
Up to date, we organized
– three Open Days at Special Education Schools & Inclusion Classes (http://bit.do/post170314, http://bit.do/post0423, http://bit.do/post52117),
– two Teachers’ Workshops on Educational Video & Astronomy
– a Global Competition on Creating an Educational Video on Astronomy.
We produced educational posters on Standard Model and our Solar System and tactile material for visual impaired students. This project gave us the opportunity to connect, to collaborate, to inquiry, to be creative and to communicate our love for Astronomy and Teaching.
